We are the future. Last Thursday, I was invited to Views for Change’s Official Launch Party at École Privée’s gorgeous venue. VFC revealed their new collection that featured contemporary and unisex high-end street wear. I was amazed to see that this minimalistic and ready-to-wear fashion line’s purpose is to create awareness for local charities in North America!
The Montreal-based fashion brand designs clothes for everyone: offering a great selection of styles and sizes, VFC wants each customer to find the comfort and the style they are seeking while also making a difference in our society. Caps, t-shirts, sweaters and much more were presented last night – a beautiful evening filled with great music, amazing drinks made by Juicyyy Lab and delicious treats thanks to Suwu.
Each year, VFC works with different charities on multiple events and activities to bring more attention to a specific cause while raising and donating as much money as possible once the campaign is done. Each campaign is complemented with different fashion-forward pieces and each purchase helps someone in need. For the launch and the very first campaign, VFC partnered up with Plan Canada, a global movement that mobilizes millions of people around the world to support social justice for children in developing countries.
Plan Canada has raised money to give children and families the tools to break the cycle of poverty and find sustainable solutions to improve their lives. Plan Canada strives to promote child rights and help millions of children in poverty. They are currently focusing on 8 areas in 70 countries: education, health, water and sanitation, protection, economic security, emergencies, child participation and sexual health.
