With summer in full swing, it is very easy to get caught up in our schedules. For me, it is a must to take breaks as I am always working either on my full-time job, on my blog or working out at the gym. Finding balance in a hectic world is definitely an essential in my weekly routine. As you may know by now by looking at all my blog and Instagram photos, I am a huge fan of brunches and aperos. What can possibly beat good food, incredible wine and amazing company? I realized this year that it is too easy to forget to take time for downtime with the ones you love most!
For the occasion, I threw yet again another summer brunch, this time with my two of closest friends. We kicked the weekend with good laughs, fresh appetizers and of course Vinho Verde. All asked was that people show up for good company and bring positive vibes! We decided to keep our appetizers simple by opting for fruits, little donuts, delicatessen and of course Vinho Verde, which beautifully complements food, especially hors d’oeuvres and the cheese, fruits and charcuterie platter we created!
The Vihno Verde products are incredibly crisp, refreshing, accessible and perfect all year round. The elegance, aromatic and flavourful expressions in the fruity and floral notes are what define these amazing wines. They also come in 4 different colours: white, red, rosé and sparkling:
– The White Vinho Verde are citrus or straw-coloured with rich, fruity and floral aromas. They have a balanced palate, are intense and very refreshing!
– The Rosé Vinho Verde are light or dark pink, with young and fresh aromas, reminiscent of red fruit. The flavours are very balanced, fresh and lingering.
– The Red Vinho Verde come sometimes with a pink or bright red foam with a vinous aroma, especially of berries. These wines are fresh and intense, and a very good food wine!
– The Sparkling Vinho Verde has enhanced aromatic freshness and a greater complexity of flavours.
Another brunch and definitely another summer success. Not too long after hugging and kissing each other goodbye, we planned another brunch which will definitely be the beginning of a new and anticipated summer tradition.
