Earlier this month, Nespresso released the new BARISTA Limited Edition. This collection’s ambition is to let us recreate the skill of a Barista in our home. I absolutely adore going to coffee shops with my friends and family and this new collection brings what I love most right in my condo! What I love most about Nespresso coffees is that they are extremely easy to make. In a push of a button, you are able to enjoy a flavourful coffee in the comfort of your home. The BARISTA collection is my new favourite line and I highly suggest you to trying the new capsules, as I am sure you will enjoy them as much as I do.
Out of the 5 new capsules, Nespresso released 2 Vertuo capsules: the Barista Chiaro and the Barista Scuro. The Barista Chiaro, my ultimate favourite, is crafted for those who prefer a light coffee taste in a rich milky cup. It contains delicious biscuit and caramel notes. This medium-to- dark roasted blend becomes smooth, creamy and round when combined with frothed milk. The Barista Scuro on the other hand is more robust and full-bodied. Made with strong aromas of dark roast and bitter chocolate, it is a strong coffee with character.
To complement the VertuoLine, Nespresso also released 3 capsules for the OriginalLine: The Barista Chiaro, the Barista Scuro and the Barista Corto. The Barista Chiaro is crafted to prepare a sweet, smooth and creamy Cappuccino with delicate biscuit and caramel notes. Just as the Barista Chiaro Vertuo capsule, you can enjoy this coffee with frothed milk.
The Barista Scuro on the other hand offers an intense, dark Espresso Macchiato. It keeps its strong flavour and full-bodied coffee character even when combined with milk foam. Its aromatic profile reveals rich aromas of bitter chocolate and roasted notes. To prepare the most succulent coffee, pour 40 ml of Barista Scurro coffee and add 2 spoons of milk froth on top!
Last but not least, the Barista Corto. This coffee has an ultra-intense taste, a thick syrupy texture and marble dark crema. It blends in harmony flavours of sweetness, acidity and bitterness in one single capsule. This particular coffee is made for those who enjoy their coffee black. It has a very powerful and intense taste!
