Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all having a great day. My last blog post was all about how I edit my Instagram pictures and I received so many great feedback from you guys. As I got quite a lot of questions in my DMs, I thought of sharing them with you all as a lot of you had the same questions. I hope you enjoy this third Q&A post! This particular one will be more related to my Instagram. Feel free to ask me any other questions – I will gather them all and write another blog post in the future 🙂 I will see you all in my next blog post <3
Where Do You Get Inspiration From?
I mostly get inspirations from brands as well as other bloggers and instagramers. Depending on what I want to shoot, I will often go on different accounts to get inspired. If I am shooting for a home decor project, I will go on design and home decor accounts. If I want to shoot outfits, I will go on my favourite bloggers’ feed such as Negin Mirsalehi, The Fashion Fraction, Sincerely Jules, Emily Luciano and so on.
How Long Did It Take You To Get That Many Followers?
I started my Instagram a year after having the blog which helped a lot as most of my blog followers starting following me on my Instagram as well. I have been on Instagram for 3 years now. It takes a lot of time gaining followers as there are so many Instagrammers in the industry nowadays. I never really focused much on gaining followers – I would always post pictures just because I loved it! It is also hard to gage how and when one will get followers as we all have different styles, aesthetics, reach and so on. It is never the same for each and every one of us.
Do You Have A Lot Of Instagram Collaborations?
Are They The Same Than On The Blog?
Yes I do have a lot of Instagram collaborations but I make sure to pace it out with my everyday life content. They are sometimes the same than on the blog as a lot of collaborations demand to share content on social media. I have quite a few collaborations that are only on Instagram (pictures and stories). I would also say that Instagram collaborations also require as much work, or almost, as it does when it comes for the blog. I love how Instagram can now be a digital marketing platform!
Is Most Of Your Content Sponsored?
Not at all. Most of the pictures you see on my Instagram are from my everyday life or unsponsored collaborations. When I get paid for content, I always make sure to put hashtags such as #ad #partner or #sponsored in order to be fully transparent with you guys! I do get invited to events and restaurants, or sent some products/clothing in exchange for a picture. I always make sure to state whenever I am sponsored.
What Tips Would You Give To Somebody Who Just Started On Instagram?
The most important thing when it comes to anything having to do on social media is to have fun with it. Post pictures that you love, shoot content that you genuinely like. If you are too focus on metrics, followers, engagement and so on, you will soon get tired of this industry. This is how I and many of my social media friends started our platforms. We would have never thought we would reach milestones as we did and this is all because we do everything out of passion.
