I am a huge nude and dark nude lipsticks lover. Bright shades or pinky colours don’t suit my skin tone or my style and after a few years of trying out lippies, I finally figured out that dark pinks/reds as well as pinky browns were the ideal shades for me. A few weeks ago, I went to MAC and decided to splurge on these beautiful matte (and 1 satin) lipsticks as we all know how amazing they are. I know that some of you might think that they all look extremely similar – which they definitely do – but when you have an obsession like I do, you can never have enough lipsticks right? 😉
I bought Whirl, Twig, Taupe, Viva Glam II and Velvet Teddy. They go on so beautifully and creamy, plus the pigmentation is amazing. I personally like to line my lips with a MAC lip liner before going on with these. You definitely have to put lip balm beforehand as they can be a bit drying, which is normal for a matte lipstick. I also carry them in my purse for touch ups during the day. I cannot recommend them enough as they are so amazingly beautiful and go on with every makeup look you are going for!
