A Summer Rooftop Apéro

Throwing an apéro is one of my favourite summer activities. I love how relaxing, simple and carefree it is. This is exactly what I needed after spending my last few weeks being flooded with work! As you can imagine, working full-time and having a blog as a sideline can be quite stressful and overwhelming. This is why I find it very important to take a break and enjoy spending time with people you love.

As summer finally made its entrance, it was the ideal time to throw a little chic apéro right in the middle of the city with my dear cousin and sister. What a perfect setting for a quality family moment! We picked our location carefully as we wanted to enjoy the city we breathe and live in: a rooftop not too far from downtown Montreal. We had such a beautiful view on a small church, which made everything even more perfect.

We arranged the banquet of food we pieced together for the special occasion: crackers, grapes, a bottle of white wine and Prosecco and of course, cheese. As the weather can be quite hot and humid during the summertime, we wanted to have a light but flavourful assortment of snacks and drinks. The evening was a success as you can imagine! We had such a lovely time catching up and enjoying the finer things in life: good company and good food. Since, quite frankly, that is what life should be all about. I hope this inspires you to create your own chic apéro this summer!
