Yves Rocher invited me a couple of weeks ago to their Botanical Summer Makeup Collection Launch and their newest arrivals are simply gorgeous! Their new makeup line is extremely colourful, light and great for the warmer season. If you love bright and bold makeup looks, I definitely suggest you to check these out. And if you are a neutral girl like me, you can always tone down these colours or wear a simple makeup look with a pop of colour. Without further ado, here are the beautiful little gems from the new collection 😉 I have only been using them for a few weeks and I can’t wait for them to be released in June as I am sure a lot of you guys will like them too!
Have you tried Yves Rocher makeup line before? What do you think of it?
Light Foundation Cushion
Yves Rocher’s foundation gives an even, fresh and luminous finish to the skin. Very lightweight, it boosts the complexion to give a radiant and healthy looking skin. You can also build it up to have a medium coverage. I love the packaging as it is very handy to travel with. If you have oily skin like I do, I would suggest you to set the foundation with a pressed powder and you will definitely have to touch up during the day. I like to wear this foundation when I am running errands or if I have to go out for a couple hours, but not for long days as it makes me incredibly oily at the end of the day!
Sheer Botanical Lipsticks
Jaune Yuzu, Corail Pop, Mauve Poudrée, Rose Sorbet, Framboise Acidulée & Rouge Éclatant
These lippies are creamy and moisturizing to the lips. They give a sheer pop of colour and radiance to your lips. For more pigmented look, you can definitely build the colour pay-off or put a lipstick/lip liner underneath them. They last a few hours, I had to touch during the day as I eat and drink a lot – definitely keep your lipstick in your purse if you are going out!
Mattifying Long-Lasting Lip Primer
I am more of a matte girl and this lip primer is great to tone down the Sheer Botanical Lipsticks’ shine. It glides on nicely to the lips and is very easy to use. I would not say that it completely mattifies the lipsticks but it definitely helps! I like to add press powder on top of my lips to help even more.
Botanical Colour Nail Polishes
Jaune Yuzu, Orange Tropicale, Menthe Givrée, Litchi Glacée, Sorbet Framboise, Rose Granadine & Menthe à l’eau
These beautiful colours scream summer. They go on quite nicely, I like to put 2 coats to have a good colour payoff. They also dry pretty quickly which is also a plus. They offer a great range of colour that will suit the style of everybody! The SOS Touch-Up is also a great addition, it helps with any chips: you only have to apply it on the problem area and the product will ‘melt’ the polish beside it to cover the chip.
Botanical Colour Eye Pencils
Sorbet Framboise – Menthe Givrée & Pêche Exotique
These eyeliners go on so creamy and have a great pigmentation. Now that the colour liner trend is full on everywhere, they are a great addition to your makeup collection! I also plan on using these to create makeup flowers and dots for the festival season as the colours are gorgeous and very summer appropriate.
Botanical Colour Mascara
I used to wear blue mascara when I was in high school and this red mascara brought me right back to my teenage years. I was a bit scared when I first used it as I didn’t want my lashes to be bright red. This mascara adds a subtle touch of colour to your lashes which again is great for a fun summer makeup look! Whether it is for a beach/pool party, a concert or even just a day out with your friends, this mascara is ideal to spice up your look.
